This is why we restructured to an L3C and for clarity about our pursuit. The fundamental need to educate the consumer and the world about the benefits of utilizing a sustainable biomass, bamboo, in place of trees specifically, in the production of charcoal for use in fuel, water filtration, and agricultural applications. While at the same time answering market demand for sustainable bamboo charcoal products that allow our social venture to have funds to continue our work.

The need to alleviate pressure on forest resources in developing countries is no secret. By utilizing a locally-available, fast-growing bamboo, we can educate farmers and communities to produce and sell a more environmentally-friendly fuel alternative to current tree-originated charcoal, while enabling reforestation efforts to take place in ecologically-strained areas. Introduction of bamboo charcoal will meet the demand for an affordable renewable energy source for both urban and rural households.
